The former home of Bruce Lee has been put up for sale by its current owner after a failed bid to convert the 5,000 sq.ft property into a museum in honour of the martial arts legend.

The mansion has disintegrated into a love hotel that has failed to pay its rent during the last two years. And with the Town Planning Board having decided that a three storey extension would not fit in with the surrounding low-rise neighbourhood, the love has truly been lost.

It is now available for sale for HKD180M, up from the HKD8.5M it was purchased for in 1974.

The question is: Was the right decision made, and is this Cumberland Road property worth preserving?
